Claims

Your claim will be dealt with by your Account Handler - you will not be passed to someone in a "Claims Department".

If something happens which may give rise to a claim the action to take will vary according to the type of insurance.

As soon as you tell us about the incident we can start to help you but there are a few things common to all claim situations:

  • Tell the insurer immediately - you may have been given a 24 hour helpline number - if so you must use it.

  • Tell us - even if you have told the insurer; we need to know as soon as possible.

  • Contact your Account Handler

  • Do what you can to minimise the damage.

  • Admit to no-one that you may have been at fault. This is not a matter of dishonesty but recognition that as a party to or victim of an incident you may not have the full picture and your judgment in the immediate aftermath may be affected.
